Firm Plans $300 Million Development in Forsyth County, N.C.

May 18--Westminster/Fortis Homes, a major North Carolina developer, said yesterday that it plans to build a $300 million mixed-use project at Brookberry Farms, an 800-acre property in western Forsyth County held in trust for the heirs of Bowman Grey Jr.

The property is under contract, said Randy Sexton, the company's regional vice president for land acquisition.

"It's going to be a nice, gorgeous piece of property," he said.

Westminster/Fortis Homes plans to build a planned-unit development that will be a mixture of houses, townhomes, apartments and condominiums over the next 10 years. It is also considering office and retail …
