Jun. 28-- RAILAMERICA BUYS COLORADO RAIL LINE: Boca Raton-based RailAmerica Inc. (NYSE: RRA, $8.27) has bought a branch railroad line in Colorado from the Union Pacific Railroad, a subsidiary of Union Pacific Corp. Terms were not disclosed.
RailAmerica will operate the railroad through its newly formed subsidiary, San Luis & Rio Grande Railroad Co., which will begin service Sunday.
The acquisition brings the total number of railroads owned and operated by RailAmerica to 50.
