Oct. 9--WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.--A month after asking the city for help improving business, a group of Clematis Street restaurant owners met with Mayor Lois Frankel on Wednesday afternoon.
But the meeting almost didn't happen. Frankel stormed out of O'Shea's Irish Pub, where the meeting was scheduled, when she saw media would be there, too.
After a brief confrontation with the group's president, Bruce Feingold, Frankel returned, offering comfort for the struggling downtown eateries and spending more than an hour answering questions and outlining her plans for a recovery.
