Sep. 8--One-third of companies will offer workers "consumer-driven" health plans by next year, according to a Deloitte Consulting survey.
"The deductible is a big one," typically $2,000, according to Steven Kraus, principal in charge of Deloitte's human capital practice in Chicago. But companies would give workers a $1,000 "personal spending account" to bridge the gap. Some plans fully cover immunization, mammography and other preventive care.
