Mar. 30--EDISON: A builder working on a construction project involving nine township schools has been indicted on charges he embezzled $1 million in money due to six subcontractors on the job.
Manny Bana, 38, formerly of Roselle Park and the owner of the Somerville-based Icon Construction Corp., was charged in the indictment with four counts of false contract payment claims for government contracts, four counts of false representation, theft, misapplication of entrusted property and official misconduct.
The corporation was charged with the same counts.
