Mar. 30--U.S. carriers are inspecting the rudders of some Airbus jets after an incident in which most of the rudder fell off a Canadian carrier's A310 during flight.
The Federal Aviation Administration published a directive Monday ordering inspections on all of the 179 A310s and A300-600s flown by U.S. airlines, since the two models have the same rudder.
