Mar. 28--IGNORANCE ON CREDIT IS ALARMING: You can call me a pessimist, but when a recent survey shows that almost half of Americans don't understand key facts about credit scores, that's nothing to be proud of.
According to a new survey by the Consumer Federation of America and Fair Isaac Corp., which developed the commonly used FICO credit score, 49 percent of consumers don't understand that credit scores measure credit risk.
