Mar. 25--Eight persons in Miami and Savannah, Ga., have been charged in a widespread scheme to defraud Florida Medicaid of millions of dollars, Florida Attorney General Charlie Crist announced Thursday.
The group is accused of using a network of pharmacies and doctors to bill the state for expensive AIDS and hemophilia treatments that were supposedly never administered.
The lead defendants are Martin J. Bradley III, 39, of Coral Gables and his father, Martin J. Bradley Jr., 66, of Savannah. Bradley III is founder and chief executive Bio-Med Plus, a wholesale pharmacy...
