Mar. 25--An allegation of embezzlement at the Flower Mound Chamber of Commerce has reignited old tensions between town and chamber officials.
At the heart of a brewing disagreement is action taken by chamber officials who said they discovered in January that a vice president had made $50,000 worth of personal purchases with chamber credit cards during a two-year period.
The employee, Virginia Kay Fiorendino, 45, was fired when chamber president Lori Fickling discovered the purchases while reviewing bills. Fiorendino, who uses the name Ginger, has agreed to repay the money over five years, chamber officials said.
