Mar. 25--Rockwall officials hope to make nearly half a million dollars in repairs and improvements to the municipal airport.
The city would use about $40,000 in local money as a match to about $400,000 in Texas Department of Transportation grants that the city is seeking. Priority projects include widening the runway from 45 feet to 75, repairing and replacing cracked asphalt near the terminal, rehabilitating asphalt around the fuel island and rehabilitating a taxiway.
