One person's challenges are another person's rewards.
For Billy Porter, director and co-creator of "Signed, Sealed, Delivered," the most daunting challenge of crafting a revue around the music of Stevie Wonder was narrowing it down.
"It's been very difficult for me to cut it down and, trust me, I have cut and cut," says Porter, a prolific Broadway performer who played Little Richard in the TV miniseries "Shake, Rattle and Roll: An American Love Story."
But for Chaka Khan, the first of a planned series of name stars rotating in and out of the new musical, one of the key charms is a made-for-casino 75-minute running time.
"It's short and sweet and to the point, and people are left wanting more," says the veteran singer. "I think that's a good thing. I'm not a real fan of theater, basically because the stuff is so drawn...
