Striking bus drivers on Thursday angrily rejected a bus company ultimatum that they return to work today or forfeit retroactive pay.
ATC Vancom, which operates the valley's bus system, issued the order one day after bus drivers voted nearly unanimously to reject a tentative agreement forged earlier in the week.
A group of about 350 members of Local 1637 of the Amalgamated Transit Union voted Thursday night to reject the ultimatum and continue the strike that began May 20.
