Nellis Air Force Base Col. Dale Ferguson is O-positive. Though not his most obvious physical characteristic, the colonel's blood is compatible with 85 percent of the population. A dying breed, he's been a regular donor for 30 years.
"If there is something bad in me, a lot of people have it," Ferguson said, chuckling.
Although he most recently gave blood in late October, as of today, Ferguson no longer can contribute.
