Mar. 18--MIDDLESEX COUNTY -- A group of workers is suing Andre & Sons Construction of South River for more than $1 million in lost pay and benefits, claiming the company didn't adhere to state minimum-wage rules for public construction projects.
"Today's lawsuit impacts 44 individuals, but we're also here to send a message to contractors: If you cheat we're going to find you and we're going to sue you," Vincent M. Giblin, the workers' lawyer, said at a press conference outside the county courthouse in New Brunswick yesterday.
