Mar. 18--FRANKLIN -- Officials are hoping their second attempt to redevelop the Gateway area off Route 27 won't be as futile as the first.
But before the 15-acre lot is transformed into a mixed-use office and commercial shopping center, questions still remain about why the original redevelopers, Pennrose Properties and the Renaissance Economic Development Corp., an affiliate of the First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, could not complete the project after five years of working with the township.
