Mar. 4--OLD BRIDGE -- The developer of a proposed Dunkin' Donuts met some resistance this week from a group of residents who said their quality of life will deteriorate if the business is built along Route 527.
Manasquan-based developer Lufrankton Management wants to build a Dunkin' Donuts/Baskin Robbins with a drive-through window at 1302 Old Bridge-Englishtown Road on the site of Jimmie's Ice Cream that closed recently after 32 years in business.
Richard Kenderian presented the Dunkin' Donuts proposal during Tuesday night's Planning Board meeting, at which residents voiced concerns about reduced buffer zones, increased traffic and the safety of neighborhood children.
