Feb. 27--In a commission race that reflects Tamarac's changing demographics, a 49-year-old father of two is challenging an 83-year-old incumbent.
Another race pits two candidates in their 70s.
The District 3 race pits activist Andrew Flaxman against two-time incumbent Marc Sultanof.
The race comes at a time when Tamarac is growing younger. The average age is 53, but a number of young families are purchasing homes in the city, where a home can still be bought for less than $200,000.
