Feb. 28--The American Civil Liberties Union has purchased office space in 125 Broad St. -- the lower Manhattan skyscraper where its national headquarters is located.
The group -- which defends individuals' freedom of speech and other constitutional rights -- paid $10.9 million for the 26,300-square-foot location, which it moved into a year ago as a rental tenant.
It already owns a sizeable office on other floors of the building.
