Feb. 28--As motorists search for better insurance rates, the industry is experiencing a growing demand for informative, people-friendly workers.
Auto insurance companies are seeking customer service representatives who can handle routine questions and requests, as well as resolve concerns and complaints.
In fact, 21st Century Insurance Group, a California-based direct-to-consumer auto insurance provider, started selling policies in Texas last month. Its 136,000-square-foot service center in Lewisville employs more than 175 people, and the company says it plans to hire up to 1,000 workers in the years ahead.
