Feb. 26--Faced with a deadline of midnight last night to beat the bus and subway fare hikes, straphangers grudgingly lined up yesterday to buy MetroCards at the old prices.
At 12:01 a.m. today, the 30-day unlimited-ride MetroCard went up by $6 to $76, the seven-day MetroCard by $3 to $24 and the 7-Day Express Bus Plus MetroCard by $8 to $41.
