Feb. 28--TOKYO -- Former Kokudo Corp. Chairman Yoshiaki Tsutsumi directed Seibu Railway Co. executives last year to continue the practice of underreporting its shareholding in the railway operator, according to sources.
The sources said Seibu Railway may face a full-scale investigation this week by a special investigative squad of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office on suspicion it violated the Securities and Exchange Law by falsifying its financial reports. The probe is expected to be launched after the prosecutors consult with the Securities and Exchange Surveillance Commission.
