Feb. 28--Jeff Ann Strickland was once afraid of "vicious" dog breeds like Rottweilers and pit bulls. Then she became a volunteer with Superior's Animal Rescue Federation.

"They were the ones I fell in love with," said the Superior woman. "The ones that you meet, they're so sweet."

Especially a dog named Jenga.

"I used to take her (out) every morning," Strickland said. "Rub her belly, walk her."

When the shelter's dog population spiked, Jenga was one of the pets...
