Feb. 28--Collin Hoskins is a self-described "semi-retired marketing consultant" who works with retirement communities around the Eastern United States.
At age 71, he travels regularly on business. But on five trips on Delta Air Lines during the past six months, he has gotten extra searches and questioning by security screeners.
And despite his best efforts, he's still not sure why.
"When it first began to happen, I complained to the TSA person searching me," Hoskins said this month at his Henrico County home.
"That person put me in touch with their manager, who said, 'It's not us, it's Delta's computer.' "
When he turned to Delta, airline officials blamed the TSA, or Transportation Security Administration, which handles airport security for the Department of Homeland Security.
The runaround baffles Hoskins. "I have a very simple question: Why am I being selected?"
The most likely answer, according to officials in the security arena, is that Hoskins' name matches...
