Feb. 28--A couple of years ago, not long after Nick Barone hit the big four-oh, the grim reality set in.
Big Macs, he found out, don't do much for one's waistline.
"They stick to your ribs and don't go away," Barone said.
So the 43-year-old New York marketing director who makes weekly trips to South Florida decided to change his diet, adding more leafy greens. But he doesn't have to go to some tableclothed restaurant to do that.
He just walks to McDonald's.
"I usually get the grilled chicken salad," he said last week during a lunch break at the McDonald's on Northlake Boulevard in Palm Beach Gardens. "It's just the right size, and it's just as good as anyplace else."
