LAWRENCE, Kan. _ Sunday afternoon you left Allen Fieldhouse feeling as if you'd just witnessed the best basketball game of the college season, thoroughly impressed by the Kansas Jayhawks and the Oklahoma State Cowboys and unsure what to make of the outcome.
Did the best team win?
Who knows? The Jayhawks and the Cowboys would probably split a 10-game series. Kansas' 81-79 victory on Sunday was testament to the resolve and character of KU's four-man senior class, the passion of 16,300 KU fans and the brilliance of Wayne Simien.
