MILWAUKEE _ If NASCAR had run the U.S. Short-Track Speedskating Championships, somebody would have checked under Apolo Anton Ohno's hood.
Something in that engine gives Ohno power the other U.S. skaters don't have. Something in that chassis gives him superior grip in the corners.
And his passing gear? Well, let's just say NASCAR would be suspicious.
On Sunday, the 22-year-old Ohno finished a dominating performance in the four-day competition, winning the 1,000- and 3,000-meter races at the Pettit National Ice Center. That gave him a clean sweep: 11 races, 11 victories.
