MIAMI _ Alonzo Mourning was at Heat practice Friday, but the long wait to sign him may extend past Tuesday.
With the Heat and guard Wesley Person still unable to come to terms on a buyout, it's possible that transaction won't happen until after the league's March 1 waiver deadline. That would make Person ineligible for the playoffs.
Faced with that option, Person still could agree to a buyout before then, allowing Mourning to sign earlier. Currently Mourning only is allowed a 48-hour window in which to participate in limited drills and watch the scrimmage...
