Feb. 25--Attorneys representing the Texas Motor Transportation Association and Lancaster truck-terminal companies have filed suit against the city's truck route ordinance in federal court.

Plaintiffs contend that Lancaster did not have the authority to establish truck routes. The city believes that safety concerns permit it to regulate truck traffic and routes.

Plaintiffs attorney Frank Hill said the filing was made in federal court because the overall dispute raises federal interstate trucking issues.
