Diplomacy: President Bush's trip to Europe, widely styled as a "fence mending" mission, got loads of media attention. But it's the second part of his visit, to Eastern Europe, that's most noteworthy.
Bush's trip to the European Union's headquarters and to Germany was notable not because anything concrete was accomplished -- very little was -- but because both sides agreed, for a few days, to say nice things about each other.
Bush did get NATO's 26 nations to help out with more training for Iraq's fledgling military....
