Personal computer giant Dell is throwing its weight behind subscription music services as an alternative to the single-track purchase model favored by digital music leader Apple Computer.
Dell hopes the move will help it sell more portable music players. The Round Rock, Texas-based company entered that market in October 2003.
But so far it hasn't been able to make a dent in Apple's lead.
Dell thinks its latest portable music devices, which support "all-you-can-eat" subscription...
