Feb. 24--Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway made its second foray into the South Florida real market Wednesday when one of its subsidiaries bought Miami-Dade brokerage J. Poole & Associates.
Homes Services of America, a Minnesota-based subsidiary of Buffett's Omaha, Neb.-based conglomerate, acquired the 15-year-old brokerage headed up by Jeanette Poole for an undisclosed price. Company leaders said the move is part of Homes Services' ongoing campaign to become the leading real estate brokerage in South Florida.
