Northrop Grumman Ship Systems president feels good about Navy destroyers work.

Feb. 23--PASCAGOULA -- The Navy may opt to have one company build all the next generation of Navy destroyers, rather than splitting the work between two yards.

Phil Dur, president of Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, said there's only the "hint" that may be the case, and nothing official has come down. But if that does wind up being the case, chances are good Northrop Grumman will win.

Dur made the comments during a talk at the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce breakfast in Pascagoula Tuesday.
