Feb. 22--A City Department of Transportation plan to widen 20th Ave. from the Whitestone Expressway to Parsons Blvd. by shrinking homeowners' front yards is now on hold, agency officials have announced.
Since the widening plan was unveiled more than two years ago, the community has been fighting it.
