ISLAMABAD, September 10 (PPI) The candidate for the office of President in the Supreme Court Bar Association Elections being held on October 25, advocate Muhammad Ashraf Khan Tanoli has vowed that the SCBA would be de-politicized and would not be used as a political platform. In a statement here Wednesday, he said if anyone has any political motives the better course for him is to join a political party rather using the Bar for political achievements. He said the establishment of the SCBA was mainly aimed at for the welfare and well being of its members, however, it has been politicized and used by certain elements for their personal stakes. He said the other Bar associations including High Court Bar Association and Districtrict Bar Associations have the similar objectives and undoubtedly all the Bar Associations are the bodies of the professionals and are meant to provide facilities to their members in performance of their professional duties. On the issue of Legal Framework Order, he said LFO was not issued under the constitution, thus the same cannot enjoy the status of a constitutional order, Mr. Tanoli said.
