This is going to sound strange, I know, but I really like wearing clothes that fit like dresses," says Outkast's Andre Benjamin, or Andre 3000, as he is better known. That may be a wildly unexpected point of view (not to mention totally mad lib) coming from a Southern American hip-hop superstar, but Benjamin is anything but a typical celebrity music man. He is definitely the only rapper out there who would confess to being "into high-waisted sailor pants and spats."
The multiplatinum, Grammy-grabbing 29-year-old has always displayed self-assured outcast behavior with his funkadelic music and fashion choices. His latest album, The Love Below, showcases a version of Rodgers and Hammerstein's "My Favorite Things" smothered with electronic beats, and his red-carpet repertoire includes everything from a glitter-shot gold trilby to a Kermit-green tartan golf suit and bow tie.
