Sally Hershberger's record-breaking $600 haircut was not enough. In yet another example of off-the-charts, late 1990s-style excess, the $500 facial has arrived in New York. Offered at the smooth, lineless hands of facialist-to-the- A-list Cornelia Zicu, the service includes something mysteriously called the tri-phasic resonator (a dual "probe" that delivers electric pulses to tone facial muscles) and a blast of microdermablation-a kinder, gentler form of microdermabrasion that stimulates collagen, evens skin texture, and calms rosacea.
