Feb. 28--Susan Kronick, who has headed the Burdines department store chain for nearly four years, is being elevated to a higher position at its corporate parent, Federated Department Stores.
Kronick, who is 49, is stepping into a newly created position: group president for Federated.
Replacing Kronick as Burdines chairman is Timothy Adams, who is moving to South Florida from Seattle, where he has been president of Federated's The Bon Marche division.
