Feb. 25--As the state's drought sparks an early season of wildfires, a South Florida firm is selling a gel that it says may protect homes from encroaching flames.
Barricade Fire Blocking Gel uses absorbent microscopic polymers to absorb water and keep it in place. It sprays onto the house -- or car, doghouse or shrubbery -- with a water hose.
