Feb. 28--AMR Corp.'s formal bid for Trans World Airlines Inc. will include the purchase of the vast majority of the ailing carrier's assets, contracts and lease agreements, AMR's top executive said Tuesday.
Formal bids for TWA are due Wednesday afternoon at U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Wilmington, Del. Although AMR, the parent company of Fort Worth-based American Airlines Inc., announced an agreement last month to buy TWA in a $3.5 billion deal, it hadn't specified which of TWA's assets it would keep should it gain control of the carrier.
