Feb. 27--Fort Worth businessman John Justin Jr., a Western heritage icon whose cowboy boots are worn worldwide, died Monday at his home.
Funeral services are pending for the 84-year-old, who was the former president and CEO of Justin Industries Inc., a former mayor of Fort Worth and longtime chairman of the Fort Worth stock show.
"He was a great man for the city of Fort Worth and the business he ran," said longtime friend J.T. Dickenson. "He sold the city of Fort Worth wherever he went. He absolutely promoted the Western way of life and Western culture."
