KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. _ It all seems so refined and courteous here at the Ericsson Open. The scene seemed no different two weeks ago at Indian Wells.
The crowd eats shrimp and sips drinks with tiny umbrellas. It buys expensive souvenirs and politely applauds winning points. It strolls outside the stadium court without a care in the world.
But Richard Williams says there's an evil side to this scene. Williams, the outspoken father of tennis stars Venus and Serena Williams, repeated claims here Monday that some in the crowd at Indian Wells called him a "nigger" last week while he took his seat to watch Serena play in the final.
