KEY BISCAYNE, Fla. _ With his booming first serve taking a siesta, Andy Roddick reached into his bag of secondary weapons Tuesday and showed an increasingly amazed tennis world that he's more than just an 18-year-old, 140 mph hitting machine.
Mixing in drop volleys, an impeccable running lob and a kick serve that would draw nods of approval from the master himself, Patrick Rafter, Roddick swept past Andrei Pavel and into the quarterfinals of the Ericsson Open.
