FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. _ Cecil Collins, the former Miami Dolphins running back, was sentenced to 15 years in prison on Tuesday after a jury found him guilty of burglary.
It took the six-person panel less than two hours to convict Collins, 24, of illegally entering the Davie apartment of Tina and Ron Nolte while they slept. Forty minutes later, Broward Circuit Judge Joyce Julian pronounced sentence.
When he heard the jury's verdict, Collins shook his head, then stared at the ceiling....
