Q. I am interested in information about Bulgaria. My daughter is interested in the Peace Corps and has been advised she can be placed in a government office in Bulgaria doing city planning, which is her field. It would obviously be an urban area.

What is the political situation, as far as you know? And is there unrest of any kind? If possible, I would like to visit her there this summer (she would leave in about April).

I understand that there are spas and interesting sites. This is one country I have really never heard much about. _ E.L., West Palm Beach, Fla.
