Nobody likes to diet. But most Americans need to.
In fact, from 1990 to 1998, the proportion of people who are overweight rose from 44 percent from 54 percent. And experts are calling obesity "an epidemic in the United States."
It's time to put down the remote control and the fork and get off the couch.
