Mar. 7--JAMIE KELLNER, THE broadcasting maverick behind teeny bopper hits "Dawson's Creek" and "Buffy, the Vampire Slayer," has been named chairman of Turner Broadcasting as part of a major TV shake-up at media giant AOL Time Warner.
Kellner, who built the 6-year-old WB Network into must-see-TV for teen girls, replaces Ted Turner's longtime lieutenant, Terry McGuirk, who'll hold the title of vice chairman, but will have no direct operating role. McGuirk's No. 2, Steve Heyer, the former Booz-Allen & Hamilton consultant who became Turner's top ad salesman, is leaving.
