Mar. 17--Stocks finished out a horrendous week yesterday by rewriting the record books, posting the biggest one-week point drop in the Dow Jones industrial average.
The five-day drop in the total value of U.S. stocks was estimated at $888 billion, according to Bloomberg.
The Dow fell 207.87 to 9,823.41 yesterday, or 821.21 points for the week. On a percentage basis, the week's 7.7 percent plunge ranked only 44th, though it was...
