Mar. 14--TALLAHASSEE, Fla.--Gov. Jeb Bush and the Cabinet on Tuesday rejected a developer's bid to build a marina at Brickell Key, deciding manatees are more important than Miami leaders' wishes.
The 5-2 decision keeps Bush's promise last August to protect the state's signature sea creature from its No. 1 enemy: power boats and their spinning propellers.
Cabinet members weren't even swayed by the possibility of posting a marine police station at the marina near the mouth of the Miami...
