Mar. 29--What a difference a day makes.
The mood on Wall Street fell back into the dumps yesterday as the latest round of profit warnings from one-time high-flyers Nortel Networks and Palm sent tech stocks skidding after three days of euphoria.
Like children who've learned not to touch a hot stove, "investors are still reacting to the pain of the last two months," said Merrill Lynch market economist Christine Callies.
