Mar. 29--QUESTION: I have a desktop PC purchased in 1997 with Pentium 200 MHz MMX, 64 megabytes of RAM and Windows 98 SE, MS Internet Explorer with 128-bit update. I use CompuServe 3.04 for Internet access. I have the identical software installed on a Dell Latitude laptop.
I can access my credit union account from the laptop without trouble but have never successfully accessed the account from the desktop. I have exhausted my efforts through the Fort Worth Federal Credit Union and customer relations at CompuServe and Microsoft. The address is www.fwfcu.org/onlineserv/HB/HomeBanking.cgi.
When opened, an account number and password are required, but the Home Banking page won't open from the desktop. I get the message: "The page cannot be displayed. The page you are looking for is currently unavailable. The Web site might be...
